Staples of a low-carb meal?

Besides the obvious (meat, eggs, cottage cheese, yogurt, etc.). I'm looking for something that I can take to work and so hopefully doesn't need to be cooked (like eggs / meat). If nothing exists, I might just try and cook up some stuff beforehand, but I'd rather not. I will also be happy if this turns into a "low carb meal suggestions" thread.

My two personal favourite low-carb meals:

Meal 1:
Cottage cheese, blueberries (not many), almonds (not many), protein powder, and peanutbutter.
Veggies + hummus or oil&vinegar dip

Meal 2:
Panfried onion+mushroom+garlic and chicken thighs / steak on a bed of spinach/kale.

EDIT: I'm a little retarded. I might try and make up a huge batch of the cottage cheese megamixture and take it in some kinda container. The less prep time, the better, though.

Maybe, I'm odd but I just cook meat the night before and eat it cold the next day when I'm at work/school. That and homemade jerky and almonds in a pinch.

Another obvious suggestion, hard-boiled eggs. The down side, for me anyway, would be that I could eat a shit load of them and get most of my daily calories in one sitting . If you're smart about it and only take what you need, though, you should be fine.

Has anybody tried something like this:

1 cup cottage cheese
1 serving chocolate protein
organic peanutbutter
1 oz almonds
1 tbsp fish oil
1 serving greens powder
flax seed

The non-bold stuff is delicious, but I'm terrified of what adding the bold stuff will taste like. Terrified.

I have no idea why I hadn't thought of this! I've never made them before. Is there food that goes particularly well with this?

Taste from the greens would probably depends on the brand and flavor. I have never used flax but are you talking about oil just normal seeds? Seeds don't normaly change the taste of things for me too much, and I know a lot of people here use/used flax seeds and oil in their shakes and didn't notice the taste at all.

The only thing I think would change the taste too much is the fish oil. Don't have any gel caps?

i blend something similar for my PWO/before bed snack because i usually dont have time to seperate the two. i just take fish oil pills though. the chocolate and PB will over power the taste of everything else. btw if you put ice in there and add the almonds at the last second so as to not bust them up to much in the belnder they become very brittle and crunchy which really adds to the taste
