Hmm, I guess that just supports the theory that everyone's different. I take a small dose or don't take it at all (Like today ) and I hit snooze a few times before draggin my ass out of bed. When I take 5g + 3 ZMA tabs and I am up out of bed and ready to go first shot. Sometimes I even wake up 3 - 5 minutes before the alarm goes off.

I'll second this.

Also a powerful antioxidant.

is it safe to stack sleep aids such as phenibut with ZMA, or ZMA and melatonin? Anyone have experience with Phenibut because it sounds like a recreational drug or something, but I am tempted lol

also, how do these sleep aids compare to diphenhydramine which is found in over the counter sleep meds like tylenol pm/night time, benadryl etc..

Maybe that's it. I've been feeling a little down the last few days.

I take diphenhydramine....but never in consecutive nights. I get rebound insomnia from it. It works well as a mild CNS depressant, so you fall asleep faster; the downside is the half life, which can be up to 8 hours. A 25mg tablet would be m.etabolized probably in well under 8 hours, though, in a healthy adult. I took 100mg one night, and I was a mess the next day. Do don't do what I did, lol.

I learned the hard way last night Mike. Last night I didn't take anything, but the previous two nights I took tylenol PM and I was not able to sleep last night. I feel horrible right now and by entire body aches and is in pain.. I think I am going to order a few supplements today for sleep

It also has hallucinogenic effects at incredibly high dosages. Though I don't understand how people can stay awake to get to that point..

Yeah, I see that on the street a lot; kids purposely taking high-dose Gravol (dimenhydrinate) and Benadryl (diphenhydramine) due to their anticholingeric effects. Not a smart thing to do, intentionally overdose on anti-cholinergics.

I've been takin' ZMA (GNC's version), melatonin, and 2 (of 3 recommended, due to the valerian in my zma) valerian root about an hour before bed. I seem to get better sleep, even if it's not quite as much as I should get (stupidity on my fault), but, TS, I dont seem to dream much at night either. Never have. I have a much higher chance of dreamin' durin' a nap than full on sleep.

Also, I agree that sleep is the first thing to go with depression. When it's hittin' me, I'll be tired and know I need to sleep, but I just wont have any desire to sleep.
