How is this an ignorant thread? I'm asking a simple question on something I always wondered. Not the fist time I asked shit on here so STFU. Thanx to you other guys for the replies.

The water has fewer calories, the milk has more nutrients (both macro and micro). Without more information that is best we can tell you.

I'm pretty much mixing up MMA like Grappling and Striking on some days and then some days I just do weightlifting. I'm pretty much just trying to build more strength and muscle while at the same time maintaining my cardio. I'm at 205 pounds now which is where I'd like to stay.

2%. The taste is reason enough for me to not go with water.

hi beach. i personally don't think it matters too much, but for post workout, water is probably better as u want fast absorbing protein for ur muscles. also, remember that the body can only take in about 30g of protein (and this figure was pulled from athletes) at a time, 20g is generally more than enough and most whey powders are at least that or higher, so if ur gonna add milk, u can cut down on the amount of whey u toss in.

Wasn't that bs all debunked and there was no difference between milk and water and where did 30g come from?

well, as i said, i personally don't think it really matters, but whey does have a higher bv. even still, since it doesn't make a difference, might as well save money and use water right?
30g is more a guideline, taking into account what people eat on average. a lot of athletes seem to stick to it, taking multiples of it throughout the day, the most recent being gsp and penn. *shrug* if it works for them, i'm fine with it...u can always take more, but the general rule of thumb has been to avoid taking anything at once too much.
