Cutting weight for lower weight divisions

Hey I was wondering what the average weight loss is for the lower weight classes in mma, such as the 135lbs and 145lbers, I know it depends on the person and fighter, but just wondering what might be a good average.

well before i started a strict diet and cardio instensive training i weighed 150 and would fight at 145. Im making 135 just barely, and really 15 pounds in a huge cut to make when you are fighting amateur

I'm not a pro-fighter but have lost 15 lbs in a day (two times) cutting before weigh-ins at tournaments.

However I walk around at 185 lbs..

For you I would estimate 7 to 10 lbs is acceptable (for a day or two's effort)

Sorry to bring back an old topic, but I was wondering the best way to cut a few pounds in a short time period. I am currently at 142 from 150ish, trying to cut down to about 135 for a tourney in 4 days. I have to be less that 141 with a gi on. It doesn't have to be a permanent fix just enough to weigh in day of (hour before). Any help would be appreciated

NVM, I didn't find the weight cutting FAQ using the search function and must have missed it on my inital FAQ search. Found it now. If anyone has addtional ifo that would be helpful for cutting in a short amount of time, thanks in advance.

I mainly have experince in weight cutting for wrestling, i had to wrestle at 135 and cut 6 pounds 2 hours before weigh ins and barely made it with you id say that walking around at 145 for 135 would be fine since you get a day to put the weight back on unlike wrestling.
