Hey, here's an idea: READ THE FAQ. 3rd post, 3rd link from the top, right under the Seven Habits thread. It doesn't need to be stickied anymore than the rest of the informative links, as long as people read the FAQ.
Noobs.

Meh, that's not my bag. If I had phd in biochemistry or dietetics or something, I might feel like starting threads and giving advice. But I don't, so I'll just standby and watch. I was just curious why flax oil isn't talked about around here. I thought there might have been something I was overlooking.

I put it in my mouse feed. Granted, it's not the greatest conversion rate, especially when you consider that it has to go from the flax to the mice, mice to the cats, and cats to me. However, I enjoy the taste of cats, so it works for me. I'm not Korean, so I haven't tried the whole flax seeds in puppy chow for omega-3 fortified dogs yet.

We actually have discussed it before, just not as much as fish oil. Most of us here take fish oil so it's usually discussed more.

Right. I know that. But why only take fish oil? Why not fish oil and flax?

I don't know, personally I take both (fish oil and ground flaxseed), ideally I would recommend most people take both but if cost becomes an issue then people are left to make up their own minds. Again, I would recommend fish oil if they had to choose only one, but some people will choose flax or a mixed oil blend like Udo's. Other factors come into play as well, people who are vegans will take flax, we have a member here who is allergic to fish so he takes flax, my wife is so anti fish and seafood that she takes flax. etc. etc.
