Healthy Energy

FRS healthy energy

Just wondering what you guys think of this. Lance Armstrong backs it. They even give you a free sample of all their products which is kinda cool.

I too have wondered about this. It gets semi-decent reviews on Amazon if I remember correctly. But free samples always seem gimmicky to me.

I don't see anything special about that. The drinks contain a bunch of sugar and caffeine, it looks like the only big difference between it and a can of Coke is that the FRS drink has some juice in it so it contains more nutrients. The first two ingredients in the chews are sugar and corn syrup, yummy!

Edit: That said, if you want an energy boost sugar and caffeine would do the trick.

I disagree on the sugar

The sugar they use is Sucralose and it's 5 grams per serving. There is only 1 serving per can. Only as much caffeine as a 1/2 cup of coffee. It also uses Green Tea Extract. I'll agree that the chews probably aren't the best but no one is holding a gun to your head to try them.

You're right, the low cal drinks use sucralose. I was looking at the regular ones, that have 29 grams of sugar. They appear to be sweetened with "organic evaporated cane juice".

A lot of organic products use evaporated cane juice to sweeten things. A slightly healthier alternative to refined sugar. WHFoods: Cane juice
