Icon4 Too much bread is bad?

I think ive been eating too much bread and I was worried if its bad for you or not....

The type of bread I eat is Arnold's Protein plus Whole Wheat bread ... i eat around 5/6 slices a day... i do eat other types of food also.... is there a problem with that?

It really depends on what you're doing buddy. If you're an athlete, doing a fair amount of hard exercise every day, then that should be fine...just don't eat it before bed or anything. It's good fuel, it's just that it can turn to fat if you don't use it pretty quickly. If you're not that active you shouldn't eat much bread.

Im an active jiu jitsu practicioner, train usually 5x a week 2 hours per session, plus mma 2x a week and I lift weights like twice a week.

yeah i agree about people who don't exercise eating grains.

the body doesn't use them fast enough, and it all just goes to fat.

Grains are definitely good after a hard training session, you can almost feel your body breaking them down rather quickly for recovery.

Use the "sluggish" feeling as an indicator for these types of things. Humans shouldn't feel like that after a meal.

Yes. Too much bread is bad. Otherwise, why would it be "too much"?

It depends on your daily activity levels............

If you're not very active grains/starchy food can really build up your insulin resistance
