Eating Things That Bleed

Cool review; I'd love to take in a seminar. I've still got my fingers crossed that he decides to do one when he's in my area this summer.
Couple of thing I found interesting:
Neolithic - Robb explained the Neo foods and why they are so bad for you. Biggest thing I got from this was that bread has to be eliminated. It is the number one cause for most inflammatory diseases. Interestingly enough he actually likes wheat bread the least. If I remember correctly, this is because the wheat germ is especially destructive on the GI and just causes more irritation. Point taken was if you are going to eat bread, eat white bread.
I'm surprised he'd even suggest that at all. Interesting concept on the wheat germ, though. I bet this ties into Celiac disease in some form.
Paleo cultures - Robb spoke a bit about various cultures. Interesting notes, Indians on the plains who ate primarily Buffalo, blueberries and tubers were on par in health with Olympic athletes and most males had a 2.5-3x BW deadlift. Also, on average native culture's diets are 25-30% Protein, 20-25% carb and 30-40% fat.
Now, I had to laugh at this. How the fuck on earth could a statement like this ever be confirmed? I'm picturing a native American male in a loincloth and headress deadlifting 4 plates a side in the middle of a buffalo herd. I'd like to see the source of this statement, lol.

Whoa...wait a minute...now white bread is supposedly better than whole wheat? Now I have to go research this. I don't even really eat much bread...maybe once a week for my tuna sandwiches but still...this is interesting. What about white rice vs brown then?

Robb is a cool ass guy. He lives here in Chico. I went to him a couple times for help with my form on DLs and Squats. Really knowledgable but I couldnt afford to work with him but a couple times. I wanted to get my girlfriend in his crossfit classes, but at $160/mo with a year contract we had to decide otherwise.

I have a subscription to it, in exchange for articles. Granted I am severely behind on that, and I owe them lol.
I think it is a awesome publication. Nutrition, strength, health and longevity, etc, it has a wealth of information. Most of the recipes are very good. Mike subscribes as well I believe.
As for the white bread etc. Don't get all worked up guys. Each nutrition expert is going to have different ideas and proof of things etc. Everyone is off their rocker a bit when they find a way that works. But Robb is one of the smartest and coolest guys I know. I am sure he has paper references to back up everything he talked about.
