Quick whey protein question
Did a quick search, found nothing.
Is there any reason not to pre-mix, say a gallon of milk and whey protein?

Yes. Don't mix your shake if you aren't going to be drinking it pretty quickly, within 20-30mins. Pure protein in the liquid form is an extremely fertile environment for airborne bacteria growth. Leaving a protein drink (reconstituted from powder) in a refrigerator for two hours is probably okay, but not overnight.

Never knew that. I'm not in the habit of doing it, but occasionally I'll mix up roughly a litre of milk and several scoops, and may leave it in a sealed container for up to 12 hours.

Okay, sounds like it is doable, but not recommended. Thanks.

most protein powder containers say consume shake within 15-30 minutes of mixing.

No you may not.
But since you kinda did already, because it tastes better and I don't know squat about supplements.

You'll know squat soon enough! Goes very well with milk so i'm told.
