Problems with casine..

Anyone else have problems casine in your protein? I bought some gainer a while back that had casine in it and had unbeliveable stomach problems. I mean it was like every hour I was running to the john. I didn't know what the problem was until i got some high 5 from max muscle a few weeks ago and again, same problem. I just wondered if anyone else has had problems with it.

Try low-fat cottage cheese before you go to sleep at night.

I do not have stomach problems digesting any type of protein.

MM usually makes me fart, and they smell bad too. I don't have to run to the toilet, though.

If you have trouble with protein powder + gas, bloat, diarrhea, etc.

Buy an Isolate powder. Spend a few extra dollar per pound and get a powder that is easier on your system. How healthy do you think it is to drink a shake then shit for the next 2 hours.

Pick up the Isolate Cold-Filtration.
If you want to slow the absorption, add in some good fats, or some complex carbs.

99.9% of weight gainers are crap. You can make your own homemade high calorie shake for less money and higher quality.

Most digestive problems with protein supplements comes from low quality protein i.e., milk or whey concentrates which still contain some milk sugar (lactose). Look for products with milk protein isolate or whey isolate near the top of the ingredient deck.

It's better to go with non-fat. The fats in cheese are not highly recommended. Stick with the best fats you can get in.

Low fat? Fuck no!

Dietary fat intake and risk of prostate cancer: a ...[Int J Cancer. 1997] - PubMed Result

The relationship between incidence of prostate cancer and intake of dietary fat and foods rich in fat was studied in 25,708 men aged 16-56 years attending a Norwegian health screening in 1977-1983. Linkage to the Cancer Registry of Norway and the Central Bureau of Statistics of Norway ensured a complete follow-up until December 31, 1992. Diet was recorded on a semi-quantitative food-frequency questionnaire at the time of screening, and 72 cases of prostate cancer were identified during follow-up. At the end of follow-up, mean age of the total study sample was 56 years (range 19-68), while mean age at diagnosis of prostate cancer was 60 years (range 47-67). No association was found between energy-adjusted intake of total fat, saturated fat, mono-unsaturated fat or poly-unsaturated fat and the incidence of prostate cancer. Significant positive associations were found for body mass index (BMI) and consumption of hamburgers/meatballs, while no association was found with consumption of frankfurters/sausages and a significant negative association with the weekly number of main meals with meat. A significantly increased risk of prostate cancer was associated with skim milk as compared to whole milk. Milk preference (skim vs. whole) was associated significantly positively with BMI. Our study of a relatively young cohort does not confirm previous case-control and cohort studies suggesting that dietary fat, especially from animal sources, is associated positively with risk of prostate cancer.

I'll stick with the way nature intended.

The rapid gastric emptying is most likely do to the Mid and High GI content of that shake. If you combine that with whey, it can lead to a lot of discomfort for some. Which product is it?
