Here's my dinner tonight. Healthy on the outside, not so much inside, lol.
Double Bacon Cheese Bisonburger (serves 2)
Ingredients:
however much bison you want (we used quite a bit for each)
bacon
cheese
bun
1. Make 4 patties with the bison meat however big you want them
2. Throw some bacon in a skillet and warm it up
3. Put the bacon and some cheese on 2 of the patties and put the other patty on top of it
4. Press it all together to seal it up as best you can
5. Throw the burgers onto the grill (will have to flip a few times to make sure all of it is done)
Tasted great without any barbeque sauce or anything. I know bison is a healthy meat, but the bacon and cheese inside might have countered any health benefits, lol.

I was always under the impression that bacon was bad for you, and a lot of cheese was also. Then again, I'm not the most knowledgable person when it comes to nutrition, that's why I've been spending a lot of time reading the D&S FAQ. I could be way off with that, all I know is that those burgers were delicious

Bacon and cheese are both fine
When I don't have steak or beef hearts with my whole eggs for breakfast, I have 4-6 pieces of bacon. And cheese on the eggs is just a given

Low Carb, High Protein Muffins
This muffin recipe is very very good, (I posted this in one of the non-sticky threads below)
300g (1 1/2 cup) oat bran
6 egg whites
300g (1/2 cup) canned pineapple
50g applesauce
2 scoops of On Whey Protein (flavour is up to you, I like banana with this recipe)
2-3 Tablespoons peanut butter
Cinnamon and/or nutmeg to taste
2-3 table spoons of honey
1 ripe banana, mashed
1 cup frozen blueberries
Just mix everything together, bung in the oven at 190/375 for 20 mins, and Bobs your uncle!

Healthy Chicken and Heart Attack Jalapenos
Whats good without the bad. Some people say eating unhealthy means you just wasted all that hard work at the gym. I say it gives you an incentive to go tomorrow! This is a quick and easy chicken recipe followed by the most gloriously unhealthy stuffed jalapenos you have ever stuck in your craw. enjoy
Cast iron skillet
Thawed chicken breast
lemon/limes/oranges whatever floats your boat
garlic- you can never have too much
olive oil if you want
a touch of sesame seed oil
Put the chicken breasts in the skillet and poke a bunch of holes with a fork. Squeeze the lemons or limes all over them 2-3 or enough to make a layer of liquid in the the pan. Put the peels in the pan as well. Dump in your desired amount of chopped garlic then a cap full of olive oil and just a small (half a cap full) of sesame seed oil. Flip the chicken breasts around so they get a little of all the ingredients then throw it in the oven for half an hour or so at 350. Eat it right out of the skillet.
Now for the good stuff
6 full jalapenos- Makes 12
Philly Cream Cheese
Accent
BACON!!!
Some dry vegetable dip mix
cut the jalapenos in half (scoop out the seeds if you dont like them too hot) and put a little bit of accent on each one. Stuff as much cream cheese into each half as you can manage. Shake the veggie dip mix on top then wrap with bacon. Bake for 27 min at 350. Warning the longer you bake them the less you will taste the jalapenos. Regardless they are good because you can't go wrong with cream cheese and bacon but just FYI.
Also if don't wash the pan if your only going to make 12 because you will only get them dirty again making another batch.

Does Healthy Always Mean Dry?
Been browsing this thread for a while now, it's really helpful. I'm currently overhauling my diet for several reasons, mostly just to be healthier.
I'm new to healthy eating, but what I've noticed is a lot of the healthier meals are dry/sauceless. Does anyone have any suggestions for gravies or sauces that aren't going to pump me full of unnecessary amounts of sodium, preservatives and other junk? Or do I just have to resign myself to the fact that healthy means (mostly) dry?
I'm continuing my research, if I find any simple to make healthy sauces I'll share them here.
