Is vitamin shoppe brand stuff any good, or does it pay to go the extra mile for the name brand supps.

Also i take fish oil (carlsons liquid), a protien (onwhey), creatine (vitamin shoppe), and greens (vibrant health). Would you suggest any other supps.??

Eh, I'm not too big on fruit blends and such unless a person eats no fruits and vegetables. Mg's of fruits don't tell you the vitamin content. If this is just for fruit/veggie supplementation then alright.

Yes I def. don't eat enough fruit and veggies, that was the idea behind taking it. Thanks for the info.

Not trying to be a jerk, KK, but did you see this? After pub-medding for awhile, I would guess sulfate, but I figured you would be more in tune with actual usage cases.

Update and whatnot:

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately guys. With my own training ramping up, and developments in the store, things have been pretty hectic.

Alright, so any of you who have stepped in a Corporate GNC lately have probably been nauseated by the amount of signs, horseshit sales no one can interpret, and overall lack of product. Well, all of that is on purpose. We thought the sale of the Company could possibly usher-in a more user-friendly approach to operating a large supplement chain, but quite the opposite, it's turning into pure and utter bureaucratic chaos. Products are being discontinued as soon as they're released, GNC is going Fascist on all products non-GNC, even if those products make them money. The reason you see signs that span whole entire shelves (signs you nor anyone else are going to even read) is because of the lack of sku's in every store. Meaning their drastic cut of products.

GNC is no longer going to be a GENERAL Nutrition Center, where you have a broad array of products from which to choose to suit your nutrition, they're turning into a "we'll tell you what to buy and you'll like it" Corporate Machine.

Put it like this. Right now they train their corporate employees to sell herbs based on a "good, better, best" system. But they don't address the different PURPOSES of the herbs. They sell Cranberry, which can clear up a urinary tract infection, but by their training material, Milk Thistle is better...despite that it's for something else entirely. It's their "hot" item. So...got urinary tract problems? MILK THISTLE! Losing sleep? MILK THISTLE!! Brilliant.

They're also pulling Nazi tactics. As of right now I'm working to make our store look more "Corporate", because they're threatening to pull my store-owner's Franchise. Funny thing is he's increased his business 20% more in the past year, where even the best and largest Corporate store saw a 3% increase. In other words, he's kicking their asses by not following their model, because it doesn't work...and they're declaring war.

So as of right now, the plan is to make them happy by next month, get them to approve a move to a bigger store (which we were planning anyway, bigger space in our shopping center), then once we do let them kick us out of the system, and sail our ship...without the GNC flag. Meaning, my store owner will be Independent. Sounds risky probably, but we have such a good client-base, reputation, and even rapport with vendors and advertisement mediums alike, that on his own he could still continue to kick GNC's ass in-terms of Growth, minus having to pay Royalties and kowtow to Corporate Fascism.

But if anyone has any questions on the horseshit going on in Corporate GNC's I'll continue to answer as best I can as long as I'm in the loop. Once we go Indy, though, we're through.

Couple quick notes:

1) GNC will NOT price-match. If you read their new price-match Ads, the number of hoops you have to jump through to actually get a successful price-match makes it nearly impossible. If you can find something somewhere else cheaper, get it from there.

2) Yes GNC online prices are stupid-low right now, and no stores won't match those either. This actually violates the Franchise Agreement, but right now there's shitloads of web-only offers because GNC online is getting their asses handed to them.
