Whole milk because I don't gorge myself on fatty greasy foods. I do "live a little" sometimes but other than that whole milk is fine. There was a doctor on TV (can't recall program) that explained milk is 90% water. He also explained a normal active adult will burn the fat from milk with relative ease. With that, I don't fear whole milk.

It depends on my goals at the specific time. Obviously, if I need more fat in my diet, whole. If not, skim. Simple.

I believe all the fat in milk is buttermilk that has been added after pasteurization; someone correct me here if I'm wrong. Since this is mostly composed of saturated fat, I really don't see the need to go out of my way to consume it.
Some scientists believe that certain fats in milk contain potential anti-cancer substances such as CLA, spingomyelin and butyric acid. The fat in milk contains the fat-soluble vitamins A,D,E, and K. Are these even present in decent enough quantities? Probably not, and especially not if you drink skim or nonfat, so it's really not an issue.
That being said, I was raised on 2%, and switched to skim in my teens. I mainly drink milk for the protein content, and I only use it in my PWO shakes and oatmeal.

I am basically the same, for roughly the same reasons. I don't think the fat content in milk is a big factor unless you consume a very high amount of milk on a regular basis.

I used to down a gallon of 2% milk every few days in high school. Now I switched over to skim and only use it in my oatmeal (and sometimes I'll have a glass with my oatmeal) and PWO shake, like Mike. I go through a gallon in about a week now.
And sometimes I drink soy, because I honestly like the taste.
