Check Costco. It's the SHIT. Enteric coated, high potency, cheap.

Also, consider liquid. While it sounds counter-intuitive, I've never burped since I started using liquid. I use Carlson's brand, it tastes great and you can find it for $23 bucks a bottle. (about 750 EPA/DHA per serving, 100 servings.)

I like liquid because it would be hard not to notice rancidity, which is the great enemy of fish oil.

Do you really think rancidity is an issue? the expiration dates on my costco (non-enteric) bottles is typically 18 -24 months from purchase.

I've never found a rancid pill I've bitten into; I think in this day and age of tight production controls and packaging, it'd be rare. But that doesn't mean one can't be cautious.

Dr. Mercola (mercola.com) has been stating this for years. He has always been stating that flax seed/oil barely converts to EPA and DHA. That fish oil is superior to flax seed if you want the Omega-3.

This is not to say that flax seed is useless... it has other benefits.

Now mercola has been talking about Krill Oil. That this is actually superior to fish oil. It is so absorbant that you only need to take 1/5 of what you would normally talk of fish oil. I guess it has something to do with the phosolipids that it has a high ORAC value (anti-oxidant effect).

I've found that most of the times when I have encountered rancid fish oil, it's when I've purchased a generic product from a mom and pop vitamin/health food store.

Carlson Fish oil is suppose to be one of the best quality fish oil. I take the liquid version were you pour it into a spoon and down it. It has absolutely no rancid taste to it as long as you use it within 3 months of opening the bottle and you keep it refrigerated. A plus is that it has natural vitamin E to slow the rancid effect down.

Holy shit when did you start posting again?

Well, in your honor Wolv, keep an eye peeled because I had already planned to post a thread about genetic mutations and why people shouldn't skoff when someone says "you probably have good genetics and that's why you can do what's not normal and be successful"...
