Whether he knew his predisposition or not is entirely separate. I imagine he did not think to ask the question, since the preponderance of information skirts that issue, or treats easygainers as if they are an insignificant minority. I mean, he said he was an ectomorph lol. That demonstrates his poor understanding right there.

My only point is, muscle/strength gain info for endos/easygainers is scarce relative to their proportion of the population, and it is easy to see how an endo/easygainer could mistakenly apply the bulk of the info (which leans heavily toward the hardgainer end of the spectrum) to himself, with predictably poor results.

I also think that poor advice and lack of nutritional/workout knowledge can lead to these problems.

I find it common to hear bodybuilders tell people they have to eat, eat, eat to get big and not worry about fat gain because you can cut after the bulk etc.

One would figure he should have known when he went too far but who knows what he was thinking.

I agree, theres a few like Aragon and Lyle who recommends even days of deficit and cardio for endos bulking.

But even then, it should be a given that you should be monitoring your progress. Its not like he got fat overnight

Exactly. Though that mindset might even be REQUIRED for some people, it cannot be applied universally, yet the preponderance of the BB literature would have you think it could.

The conventional idea of a "bulk" implies some fat gain. The difference is, it is very manageable for ectos, less so for endos. And because it didn't happen overnight, it was easy for him to see the stready climb in pounds as "part of the process that everybody goes through, I'll just cut the fat later like all the articles say I'm supposed to."

I don't understand how that kid could be an endo when he started out lean and looks like he had a decent amount of lean mass. I would be surprised if that wasn't a troll.

The secret to gaining weight is find a good women that can cook. You will have all the food you need just up to you to make sure you do something with it.
