Icon2 I need to gain about 10 or more pounds....

I would like to gain about 10 pounds. I currently weigh about 171 and I am pretty tall so I am slender/fit. I live in a swampy area of Florida, so I am sweating a lot, when I workout due to the humidity and heat over 90 degrees. Does anyone know a specific diet to help gain some weight in muscle, any workouts?

Worldfour - make sure you read the FAQ Ziltoid just posted, there's a lot of good info in there.

Sweating a lot shouldn't really matter, especially since you live there so your body has long since adjusted to it. Your caloric expenditure during workouts and during the entire day will be slightly higher, but nothing you can't make up for. Drink water?

Welcome to my world. I've been working on gaining weight for the last month or so and have done okay so far. As the link probably says, you just have to eat more and lift heavy. I'm loving the eat more part (your body gets used to the increase in food after a week or so), but the lifting part is still pretty boring to me (i don't really like to lift weights). You will see results though.

You have to like lifting if you want to get big. Half ass'd workouts wont cut it.
