Damn, Sonny, is that how much you should really take? I take 2-3 softgels a day, each one containing 340mg of omega-3. Should I be taking more pills/have a supplement with more omega-3 than I am now?

Each pill has 340 mg of DHA/EPA? If you're taking 3 per day then your getting about 1 gram of EPA/DHA per day which is good. Ideally I would shoot for 1-3 grams of EPA/DHA per day.

Ultimately though, we're lacking O3's in North America so anything is better than nothing, if you can only swing a couple of caps a day, it's better than zilch.

The flax meal is just so I can get some extra fats in my diet.

8 pills, each one at 360mg of EPA/DHA a piece for a whopping total of 9600 mg of Fish Oil and 2880mg of EPA+DHA.

I think I can afford the 90 calories.

I do 6g a day in 3 meals. But at that, I get pretty oily on my face.

Yeah I get that too. Fish oil makes me break out so I have to take breaks from it every so often.

Keep in mind that too much O3's can cause pro-inflammatory effects so it's best to experiment with doses.

I upped my doses to not-quite-Poliquin levels a while ago, and BJJ bruises were getting ridiculous.

Roughly 20 pills a day, spread across 4-5 feedings. 24g of Fish Oil or so. I did it for a month or two. At first, I got some pretty bad stomach cramps from the oil, but that went away pretty quickly. The bruises...ehhh...not so much.

EDIT:
I stopped since I didn't notice any sort of improvements in well-being or performance, and the bruising was lasting way too long.
