Greens powder for alkalizing

I'm looking for a good green foods powder to help with alkalizing my body. Anyone know of any good (read: not super expensive) brands?

Powders are expensive urine. Eat spinach. If you can afford it, juice wheatgrass and drink it. Dont get the powdered.

Not sure how powders become expensive urine but juice is okay? A green supplement seems like a great option to get more greens in your diet. I use Trueproteins green mix and although it tastes nasty its actually affordable for my budget.

What did you think of that, taste aside? I have seen that there. Did you just mix it with water, or berries, or what?

Most powders sit for so long before consumption that most of the value is lost. It is best to consume the whole food. If you are going to "juice" juice the whole fruit or veg, and consume the fiber as well. In the case of grasses, such as wheatgrass, the body does not do well digesting the grass, so you need to extract the liquid. In fact, a "normal" juicer wont even work on most grasses, you need a special one.

It tastes good enough to drink with just water probably due to the fact that they throw some apple in with the rest of the vegetables. I usually make a shake during the day to supplement my diet with fruit and protein powder and just throw it in there. I've used the really expensive stuff that tastes like crap from whole foods, and trueprotein.com's green and don't notice a difference when switching to trader joes brand (besides the extra money in my wallet). I take a really good food based mulitivitamin though as well so perhaps that is why I don't notice a diff when switching between the green supps

I just ordered this:

Swanson GreenFoods Formulas Green Max Powder 10.6 oz (300 grams) Pwdr - Swanson Health Products

and this:

Swanson GreenFoods Formulas Fruit & Vegetable Powder 8.11 oz (230 grams) Pwdr - Swanson Health Products

Should be delivered today. I already eat a lot of fruits & veggies in my diet, but thought supplementing with some more shouldn't hurt. Especially at those prices. I've heard very good things about Swansons, we'll see how it goes.
