Great Breakfast Idea- "Proats"

Alright so sitting here thinking of ways I can improve the healthiness of my breakfast I came up with this potentially delicious and very nutritious idea. Keep in mind, I haven't tried this yet but I'm definitely gonna check it out tomorrow. It's a pretty basic concept and I'm sure it has been mentioned here before in some form or another.

Blend
1 scoop Muscle Milk Light of any flavor (Im assuming the vanilla-like flavors would be best)
1/2 cup Whole Milk (for added fat), you can do skim too
A touch of spinach.
Mix with
1 cup Quaker whole grain oats (boiled).

just under 500 Calories
26g protein
13g fat
65g Carb

You get lots of vitamins and nutrients from the MM, all the benefits of oats, and a way to add vegetables to breakfast without altering the taste in any form. Sorry if this recipe is redundant.

Spinach in oats sounds horrible to me, honestly. I haven't tried it of course, but I doubt I will. When it comes to getting vegetables in my breakfast, nothing beats spinach and eggs, in my opinion.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm dogging your idea, I'm not. Just isn't appealing to me.

uhh. so u buy muscle milk light which is more expensive than regular muscle milk because it has less fat. and then you add milk (for added fat). please use your brain and think this one through.

Well I have MM light around the house, so it works for me. I see no reason to get regular unless you are trying to put on weight/maintain, which I am not. As for the spinach thing, try mixing it in your protein shakes- I guarantee you won't taste the difference although the texture is altered slightly.

I'm more concerned with it being an equally healthy alternative to egg whites, which I'm completely sick of.

yup, I often used to add a scoop or whey protein to my morning oats, nice addition

strawberry flavours were quite nice with plain oats too.

Blending spinach in your morning shake is quite different then adding it to a bowl of oatmeal.
