(EDIT:Glutamine)
Anyone ever done it? Seems like a good idea, especially for easygainers such as myself who really don't want a bunch of excess sugar.

Oh, I should add, for the doubters, glutamine DOES spike insulin.
Berardi says. *Sticks tongue out childishly*

So far so good....
I don't think many people have, Xtrainer, just because most people don't know that it functions like an insulin secretagogue.
But, that being said, some food for thought:

Like Chest Rockwell mentioned, r-ALA or cinnulin (cinnamon extract, actually used by diabetics) may be a better option, dollar wise.

1. Yeah, it probably is a better option, unless you have a bunch of glutamine around that you haven't used since the last time you cut weight.
2. Would plain 'ol cinnamon also work?
3. What's an "islet?"

I'm gonna go ahead and assume Islets of langerhans.

Yes, also good additions if you're trying to spike insulin without sugar.
So you got:
1) Glutamine
2) Alpha Lipoic Acid or R-ALA
3) Cinnulin Extract

Nice call, Mr. Smarty Pants. Now if you can tell me which cells from the islets secrete insulin without Googling it, you'll get a Sherdog cookie.

Probably to a degree, but IMO not enough PWO to be effective. That's based on nothing but 100% speculation, though.
