does anyone have this book or read it? I want to know how good it is.

I can't say I've ever read it or heard of it before, but you are probabl better off going with berardi (grapplers guide to nutrition) or someone of that nature.

Well, I have read it and I agree totally with Clint07. "The Fighter's Body" is geared more toward the "general health crowd" than the elite athlete. That said, it is still an interesting and educational read, and there are some good ideas in the book. My main problem with the book overall is the suggested macronutrient partitioning and timing.

I'm just starting to read it and yes I have to agree with XT trainer and clint. It is def. a more "general health crowd" book. Still, for someone like myself not knowing much about nutrition it is sure teaching me a lot of the "basics" id say.

Just remember, if something in the book clashes with what you've heard from Berardi or a comparable character on the sports nutrition scene, Berardi's probably right.
