Ephedrine - False Positives?

Any cases of Ephedrine causing false positives on a standard drug screen? I am searching for a new job and don't want any roadblocks.

i'd also like to know about this... i've been taking ephedrine for a bit, but haven't really noticed it doing anything for me as far as energy / weight loss so who knows...

I wouldn't think that it would because Ephedrine is in many cough medicines and is used for sinus/allergy problems. Before any tests just make sure that they know that you have been taking ephedrine (for your allergies of course)

Not unless they are testing for ephedrine. There is a test for it, I think, to make sure you arn't on tons of it just prior to a competition. In a few days though, its all out of your system.

If your company is doing a regular drug screening, you'll be fine.

Nah your fine they are looking to certain street drugs like meth, pot, coke, and whatever else is out there that people crack out on. Over the counters and scripts are usually given a pass depending on the job. They may look for Hydrocodone though.

Well, the standard drug test doesn't test for it, but I know pseudoephedrine is used in making Meth. That is why I was wondering if it would give a false positive.
