Endurance Enhancing Supplements
hey, are there any supplements that can help enhance endurance, or increase RBC production? I've heard that eating certain high iron foods like "figs" can do this, but it seems like it would be easier to just get a supplement.
any help is appreciated.

Easy to acquire stuff: Caffeine, creatine, and magnesium.
I'm not going look for any sources on those, all have been proven to work in studies . You can find them yourself if you want.

Caffeine and creatine always work for me, but especially the caffeine (200mg).

I don't know about suggesting high iron. The only way non-anemic people typically lose iron is by bleeding. Otherwise having too much iron in the blood will cause oxidative stress and actually lead to fatigue.

Agreed, I've never heard anything to support the idea that you can "boost" RBC production by eating more iron, unless you're anemic to begin with.

A while back I listened to an interview with Coach Anderson..An Olympic wrestler and trainer..Hes trained athletes such as Dan Henderson, Rulon Gardner, and Randy Couture...He said over the last 40 years hes been training and competing, that hes tried tons of supplements and different diets..When it comes down to it..eating healthy of course is what you need first. But he also swore by jay robbs egg protein powder and a supplement by dr delgado, called "power n speed" He said it works well with endurance so maybe you could research it and try it out. The podcast interview is somewhere online, maybe even posted on here a while back but yeah maybe that will help out.

What's in "Power 'n' Speed"?
Supplements may be able to give you a temporary boost, but really, the best way to enhance your endurance/longevity in regards to training is simply to attain better cardio/conditioning by working your ass off.
When you say: "It seems like it would be easier to just get a supplement," though, it doesn't give me great hope for the hard work method.
Before I saw the serious nature of the OP and subsequent responses, I had planned on saying EPO.
