and again...

man, the dieting/supp board are crazy. There are so many new threads a day (many asking about creatine) so this one slides into darkness in just a couple of days. Strange.

I've tried both Monohydrate and CEE. Personally I got more out of monohydrate - it did leave me with 'cotton mouth' and I was thirsty all the time (I know you are supposed to drink lots of water with it, which i did). I did feel as if I gained strength though.
I got some CEE from bulknutrition, it tasted like shit (very bitter) and I didn't feel as if I got any strength gains.
Just my own experience ...

I have a question though, there seems to be quite a bit of conflict on whether to take creatine before or after a workout. After reading a lot of articles the general concensus is to take it after.
Basically I usually train twice a day; afternoon I do weight training, evenings I do Muay Thai and/or BJJ. Should I take the creatine post weight training ot post MT/BJJ? Or should I take half after weight and half after MT/BJJ?

Thanks for your time

To my understanding of everything, it shouldn't matter which one you take it after. So I would take it after the weight training just because it helps to get a serving of whey and dextrose with the creatine to aide uptake and it would be more optimal to take these in the afternoon than at night.

I'm not one to normally get into supplements, but i've been training lots, both weights and Muay Thai, and I needed a little extra boost to get though my workouts (espeacially the competetive MT class, it's fuckin brutal!!).
I got my sister to pick up some PUMP FUEL for me. It a little more expensive than I wanted, but it's from across the border, and I can't send it back.
Heres a quick rundown of my training:

Weights = 1 day of endurance (full body, 12 exercises, 3sets each), one day of for hypotrophy (sp?), one day for power (2-7 reps range). Variety of exercises, depending on day. On "in between" days I do rotators, neck, forearms, shrugs, mostly in the 12-16 rep range

Muay Thai= 1 hour of cicuits on my "in between days" mostly bag and pads, but with skipping, ab wheel, sprawls etc. followed by one hour of technique training (1 hours each, 2 x a week), 1 hour of competetive training, 5 pad rounds, full out for 2 mins, followed by 30 sec rest, then 5 rounds of bags...then about 6-10 rounds of sparring/neck wrestling. This is done 3x a week.

Ingredients: Kre-alkalyn, CEE HCL, Creatine AKG, Creatine Pyruvate, Tri-creatine Citrate.
(totale 5gm of creatine)
L-arginine, Alpha-Ketogluterate, L-glutamine, L-glutamine peptide, etc
(total 4 gm NO boost)
Ginko Biloba, Ginsing, L-tyrosine (1 gm total for "mental focus")
Flaxseed oil, Safflower oil, Borage oil, sunflower oil (1gm total)
PLUS 100 mg of Caffeine Anhydrus

Total gm 11, yet it says to take 26 gm per serving....there are other ingrediants like Maltodextrin (for the creatine absorption) and some citic acid...but what the hell is the other 15 grams made of..and for $69 Canadian (about $60 US) it seems like alot to take, for a one months supply.

Any suggestions? More l-glutamine? Cut the Creatine formula in half?

Madmick...i KNOW you'll have some great advice. Any takers? feel free to PM aswell.
Thanx in advance.

I'm bumbing this shit up again. I've mentioned that I thought it should be stickied because of the constant influx of creatine questions, but my voice has fallen on deaf ears.

I'll throw my hat in the circle: Sticky.

You might have to PM Kabuki. If he's already been through this, he might not be revisiting this thread.
