egg digestion

*warning* If grossed out easy, don't read this. Also, it may sound like a dumb question to some, but I really would like an answer.

Lately when I have been eating eggs I get a small fit of diarrhea shortly afterwards (20 minutes or so). This is only with eggs as well.
Does this happen to many other people? Why is it happening? How can I prevent this? And the main one, am I even reaping the benefits if this is happening?

Thanks for your help.

LOL Urban you are too kind. Slickk there left himself open to a plethora of abuse. I'd go on an idiot rant, but I'm in too good of a mood. Anyhoo....back on topic...

First question that comes to mind would be: Has this happened before when eating eggs? It's pretty rare to develop some sort acute intolerance like that.

That being said, two things it could be:

1) Sensitivity to sulfites. Eggs make me fart like no other consumable, secondary to draught beer. In your case, it may be causing the diarrhea.

2) An actual allergy. Contrary to popular belief, food not all food alergies make you swell up like a balloon and close your throat off in seconds. GI disturbances are fairly common.

It just recently started happening. I haven't been feeling well so maybe it's just my cold, not the eggs. Kinda a coincidence though since it's always right after I eat the eggs.
Anyone know if this means I'm not benefiting from the eggs? Like I said, this happens very shortly after not eating them.
