Carb-loading it turns out is a magical thing. I've been saying I was going to make a thread on something pretty special recently, it's carb-loading. I'll do it sooner or later but basically it goes like this:
Take any amino that don't do shit on it's own, stick it with carbs, and magic happens. That's not to be said for all aminos, but most of them.

Looking forward to hearing more about BA and carbs.

I've been taking this for a few workouts now. Coincidentally, those workouts have been pretty shit. Do I blame variability, CNS burnout, and being a weak-willed pussy? No, I blame Beta-Alanine entirely.

well, thats a little strange to me cuz i think the stuff is great. And i find it hard to believe that just adding an amino acid and changing nothing else and having it make your workouts go to total shit. You sure nothing else has changed?

I will be doing a trial of Beta-Alanine and Cissus, both bulk sourced. Hopefully this will be a more consistent trial than my interrupted BCAA trial. For my trial, the focus will be grappling and striking. If I am able to lift more than 1x a week, then it will be miraculous and you'll all be hearing about it.
As far as, "the next creatine" goes, I'm hoping for at least something. I can't feel a difference recovery or performance wise from 5g creatine daily, I just do it because of all the trials and published reports.

Looking forward to hearing about it, Art. This is more along the lines of the way I train, so I'll be closely watching how things go with you.

potentially a nootropic huh? I'm planning on starting the Madcow or Bill Starr 5*5 in two weeks, with the BA and "free" creatine from biotest, and using it for at least 8 weeks. But I usually take something before working out, either Spike or MRM Driven. Would there be an issue with that, or even taking it with caffeine?
I'm 84kg (185lb) and plan to take 7g a day. Does that sound about right, based on Monger's posts?
