You're the reason I started trying it every now and then at night time

Hmm I have no issues with sleep. I take capsule form with about 2 grams 3 times a day...

I just got back from a mountain bike trip. I found that I had no burns on climbs etc. All in all felt very good cardio wise with insane next day recovery...

The brand I use says do not take with any presciption medicines...yikes...I hope the brain mechnics of this supp aren't too invasive b/c I have several presciptions...

The other unusual warning was for those with asthma...why would this affect those with athsma?...

I hate to say it but I've never heard of problems with nausea before. It might have something to do with GABA and the enteric nervous system, but I've done absolutely zero research on this.

I've been taking BA for a few months and I've noticed that I only get minor nausea when I take BA with White Flood (pre workout formula with .7g BA per scoop)
When I don't take White Flood I don't get nauseous at all

Lately a lot of people around me are having issues with BA...to the point of stopping abruptly...

Twitches, burning feeling (more than just tingles), just not feeling "right".

Can anyone tell me more on the effects of BA on the brain / neurotransmitters etc.

Like I stated before I broke the rules and am taking this stuff with prescribed meds...yet I have nothing but positives for BA...

I am just worried that maybe this stuff is too experimental? Am I being paranoid?

I'm not sure of the consensus anymore, but not long ago it was advised you take taurine at some point during the day because BA depletes the amino acid in the brain. I'm not sure if this has been disproved and off the top of my head what the effects of taurine depletion is, but I'm sure me mentioning it will get some valid responses

Yes it does. I've tried it a few times now, and I like it. I was getting pretty good results with the GABA & ZMA anyway, and I think adding the BA helped. Anyone else tried yet?

Thanks! Though I think the talk was that Taurine may have negative effects when taking BA. I was just reading this segment from: Bodybuilding.com - Sebastian Balcombe, Ash Batheja, & Anssi Manninen - Beta-Alanine: Science Meets Real World Results!

"While there is certainly potential for problems when taking these two together (they share the same transporter into tissues), it hasn't yet been supported in the research to any level of significance. In fact, a recent study by Dr. Harris, showed that the increase in muscle carnosine with beta-alanine was not reduced when taurine was taken along with it."
