Ok just received my BA in the mail. I was going back through a few pages to see what people are dosing... would you guys recommend 1/2 teaspoon pre and 1/2 teaspoon post workout or 5g pre?

If you're just starting to load, I'd use post-workout and before bed. Never before training.

I've been doing ~3g pre and ~3g post. Why shouldn't it be taken before training?
some pre workout supplements have it too, like Controlled Labs White Flood

Maybe during the inital period pararenthesis is too off putting to take BA prior to training?

i believe that's why he suggested not taking it pre-workout when you're first getting started. i never got them, but from what i remember reading in this thread, for some people, the tingles are almost debilitating.

I actually spewed my guts out the other morning. No joke. I was out of town, so I hit the gym (if you can call hotel gyms a "gym") while sipping a whey protein/creatine/BA mixture I had packed and just mixed with water that morning.

I don't know if it was training on a nearly empty stomach, zero carbs, or the fact it was 6 AM, but by the time I finished, showered, and had my omelet put in front of me by the waitress, I was pale, nauseated, and made a quick trip to the can to hurl.

Needless to say, my BA is strictly PWO, and has been for a while. This episode just cemented that fact for me. I'm thinking I'm a little hypersensitive to the GI effects, a lot more so than others.

I have had the tingles a few times when starting back into BA, but when I've been taking it for a few weeks I can take 5g without really feeling them myself.

Interesting, well I guess I'll stick to PWO then for awhile. When I took the first 2.5 g I felt tingling in my left arm then before bed I took the other 2.5 and felt tingling in my lips and fingers ha..
