I can answer both of your questions by directing you to the FAQ where there is a TON of information on whey protein as well as creatine (which does not bulk you up).
I know there's 16 pages of the thread, but read the entire thing and you'll have everything you need to know about beta-alanine.

Why is it being called the next creatine? Isnt purple wrath just something to give you energy and give your muscles the EAA and BCAA's to not get tired, help grow? Not like creatine where it bulks you up.
I dont know much about this stuff, so im just learning

There's a lot of good info in this thread - with links to supporting research, etc.
Beta-alanine is being hailed by many as the next creatine because it increases muscle carnosine levels, which allow you to do more work with less fatigue. This effect is improved by citrulline malleate, which is also in Purple Wraath along with Amino Acids. Many of us also stack it with creatine for even more benefits.

Really@ citrulline malate
Out of interest how much do YOU use with the BA. I have 500g of the stuff kicking about still from last year
I must also add. I've taken BA about 2.5 g before training and it seems to have an effect incomparison to take it throughout the day
Is that all mental (ala placebo effect)

So do you guys mix your BA with something like purple wrath and have it before workout?
And can you have it, pre-during and post workout?
and creatine straight after workout right?

Same as using a monohydrate/BA blend.

I've been happy with both the GNC BA and Controlled Labs' Purple Wraath. I am also trying Ultimate Nutrition's Beta K, which is pH-balanced creatine and BA.

Bummer dude. I still have half my bottle of the GNC pro capsules. The beta-sine product was good, but after just buying the bulk powder, thats the way to go.
Funny story today. My girlfriend and I were running late for work today, so I ended up with the job of making a quick breakfast that we could take to go. So I make a normal shake for me, just twice as much to accomodate both of us. I put in blackberry juice, apple juice, protien powder, oats, flaxseed powder, frozen berries, a banana and about 12 gms of Beta-Alanine. Didnt think anything of the BA. 10 minutes into our drive towork, my gf is scratching the hell out of her face and arms. I had forgotten about the tinglies since I'm used to it by now, but the poor girl was freaking out.

Hmmm, might have to look into that.
The GNC one I have says to take it 2 hours Pre-WO, and 2 hours PWO. That the same with UN's Beta K?
