I think it is all hyped. I am sure it works for some people because the mind is probably the most powerful healer, placebo effect can be a great thing. I think price/benefit wise, I wouldn’t. Unless you just have money to spend, then it doesn’t hurt to try it for a month.
Rest will only get you so far. REHAB is the rehabilitation of previous injuries, eg the things you can do to improve them for the future. this INCLUDES everything to do with pills, diet, and also exercises. if you have a weakness formed from combat or weights over a few years, simply taking a few weeks off won't help.

Check Cressey's (i think) t nation articles on shoulder strength etc. I have just started to do some of Waterbury's shoulder exercises in his mma article - the front squat with a db held out in front definitely knackers my shoulders, the walking with db's overhead seems (eg i have no proof) like it would make sense to do also.

I have to say Super Cissus RX seems to be working so far. Tomorrow I get to roll again so I'll keep people posted...

I am going to add some fish oil once I get paid this week too.

Been using Animal Flex for the last couple months. It's one of the cheapest out there and has everything you could possibly want in a joint supplement and then some. My knee problems disappeared after a month on it.

Do you just have the one pack per day?

general:

-Fish Oil
-Water

specific:

-Glucosamine/Chondroitin
-MSM
-Hyaluronic Acid
-SAMe
-Celadrin

Cissus is more for tendons, ligaments, and bones but not for cartilage issues per se. Take it with Vitamin C.

Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM is your best bet for cartilage problem. HA is very good as well especially if your joints feel stiff. I had no noticeable diff with Celadrin powder. No experience with SAMe but some people do take it with success.
