To add to this: This is a HEAVY book. Lots of pictures, on quality paper. I guess that's why it weighs about 2 tons.

I just got back into town last night, and was happy to find my copy had arrived. I only really had a chance to flip through, but it looks awesome; same format as before, with AT (anytime) and PW (post-workout) meals, along with the standard prep times, ingredients, etc etc. As far as I can tell, every single recipe is shown in a mouth-watering format. I'm not joking, some of the pictures are incredible.

As others have said, one thing that is nice is the options the recipes give to change something from PW to AT; if I had one criticism from Gourmet Nutrition 1.0, it was that too many of the recipes were PW.

I'm at work right now, but when I get home, I'll post up a sample recipe.

I made this last night. It fucking ROCKS.

Coconut Cauliflower Mash - Anytime meal 2 min Prep, 15 min Cook time.

Ingredients
Cauliflower, rough chopped - 3 cups
Cashews, crushed - 1/4 cup
Coconut milk - 1/4 cup
Salt - 1 pinch
Pepper - 1 pinch
Cinnamon - 1 pinch

Instructions

Add all the ingredients to a pot and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and cover with a tight fitting lid. Simmer for 15 minutes and then remove from heat. Puree in a blender or food processor until smooth. Add 1 tablespoon of water at a time if necessary to get the mixture moving. Serves 1 large of 2 small.

Nutritional Info (for large serving. Half for small)

Cal 409.4
Fat 27.3
Sat 13.3
Mono 8.6
Poly 2.8
O3 0.0
O6 2.8
Carbs 27.8
Fiber 8.6
sugars 9.2
Protein 13.3

The texture was almost EXACTLY like mashed potatoes; The serving size was enough for both myself and my wife, and there's still some leftover.

Here's a snapshot of the above recipe:

After trying out a few of the recipes, I have to say this is probably one of thee best cookbooks I have ever seen, and it totally follows Berardi's rules(obviously). I tried out the Tomato Salmon Scramble this morning, and it rocked, too. There's some great egg recipes for breakfast, and some of the oatmeal ones look incredible(although all are PW).

No question in my mind, 5 out of 5

I bought it for my parents, looks really good, much improved over the original so far as user friendlyness. The forums over at PN are pretty good too, good exercise videos. Now it's just a matter of my parents actually reading and following the thing.
