I dunno about clinical trials, but I have lost a little bit of fat since using it. I originally bought some GNC brand L-Carnitine, and the label said to take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, and that is what I did. Since then I have purchased other brands that don't specify to take it on an empty stomach, but I always do. I haven't noticed a huge difference or anything, but I have lost a little extra bodyfat the past few months I've been on it.

Carnitine is going to be a hot supplement in the coming year. We just have to get around all of the archaic hype and focus on the novel effects.

I have articles submitted to bb.com and EliteFTS about this but would like to publish something more detailed here.

Sure, on the labels of many mixes involving free-form aminos or free-form aminos mixed with BCAA's, there's a recommendation to stir and not shake vigorously or blend.

That's why.

KK, if it doesn't say this is it still a bad idea to shake them? I was wondering about this because I have the instantized BCAAs from trueprotein and they don't stir for shit, but it doesn't say anything at all on the container about mixing. This is the first time I've ever heard this about BCAAs

I've used it once, about a month before Sydney's last summer.. Basically I worked my self from 78kg to 73kg and still had a bit of belly flab whihc was hard to remove. I cntinued going to the gym 3 times a week like I was already doing but the 3 other days a week I woke up and first thing I did was take a dose of L-carnitine with 500 ml (16 ounces of water) and continued to warm up and stretch. 20 minutes later my jog would begin which lasted for 40 minutes at a steady pace (covered about 8-9km in the process).

Anyway for a month, this resulted in about 12 cardio sessions and I dropped down to 69 kg with a cut midsection. I lost alot of fat, and i feel as though i gained muscle also. I recommend it, but only to get rid of that last little stubourn portion that just wont go away.

There are blends that don't contain that much in the ways of free-form aminos that it's fine to shake, more and more in the past couple of years. If it doesn't warn against shaking, then shaking is fine.
