What veggies are best?

Been lurking here a while and found my diet was shit. I fixed it but I'm still having a problem with eating veggies. So far I've added a carrot or two to most meals and some cooked broccoli.

I need more but have no idea what to buy. So what ones should I eat? Any I should avoid? Where can I find which ones are "best"?

There are no veggies to really completely avoid. Although starchy ones should be used more in moderation: Corn, Potatoes - Sweet are much better than white but both are still kinda starchy, etc

The big 3 in terms of veggies are Broccoli, Spinach, and Asparagus but it's best to get a variety of veggies. Make sure you get those 3 in there through the week and then try all sorts of other veggies find what ya like.

I don't believe there are any veggies that are "best" but what you need to aim for is a variety!

Each vegetable has certain vitamins and trace minerals that your body needs to function at maximum levels.

Vegetables don't just differ in taste. They all have different vitamins and minerals in them. If they all did the same thing, it would be cool because you could just choose one that you love and only eat that with your meals the rest of your life. But that's not the case.

What you need to aim for every day is a variety of colors. You should be eating red, orange, yellow, green, and white vegetables. I know that is easier said than done but if you're doing that, you're golden.

If you can't or won't do that, at least eat a vegetable medley.
