The Anabolic Cissus Pump
I bought a bottle of SuperCissus. The directions for "therapeutic" use is what I expected after reading threads on here, 1 pill 10 min before breakfast, another 10 min before the last meal of the day.
But, there are also instructions for "Anabolic" use. 1 pill 4-5 times a day, 10 min before eating. It says
Quote:
|
"The anabolic effect of Super Cissus RX should be felt within 8-12 days marked by an increse in strength, recovery, and blood flow to the muscle (Cissus Pump)."
|
Has anyone here used Cissus for the "anabolic" effects and the "pump"? Sounds like a way to get people to use more product.

no huh? everyone just takes the standard therapeutic dose?
I was reading on T-nation that some people really like the "pump" and "rush" from taking Carbolin 19 with Cissus. A regular steroid user claimed it was an "anabolic" feeling. I think he was probably associated with a website selling Cissus, from the way he was wanking on and on about it. But more than a few people claimed the same thing. hmmm....

I've heard people talkig about the anabolic effects of cissus. Not overly sure how accurate they are. They (being the main producers) do harp on about it, but you never know if they are indeed just trying to sell more of it.
Someone posted links to studies about cissus regarding anabolic effects not too long ago

Ya, it was KK. The studies were for intravenous I think. Nothing really on muscles, just joints I think it was.

Anabolic effects on joints? So it could greatly increase the hypertrophic and strength-related growth of tendons and ligaments?
If that was true... There would be a far lesser chance of injury to many athletes, and this product would become essentially the end-all-be-all.
The "therapeutic" properties seem as though they could be the beginning to what these guys are calling their "anabolic" feeling. If the smaller doses aid recovery, what could larger do? I saw somewhere that when using powder, 1-3 tsp was "therapeutic" and 4-6 was for "anabolic" effect.
More info guys? Keep this thread alive.

Well, some people (teh manufacturers) say Cissus can also help your muscles...some how. So in combination with Carbolin 19 (sold at t-nation) it has a really "anabolic" pump. And on the container of Super Cissus I have here, it mentions an "anabolic pump", though that really has no clear definition so it could mean anything really.
Maybe it's also "new and improved".

You guys need to read the thread again. KK did not post studies in regards to cissus and joints, muscles, tendons, bones, etc... There were 3 studies based on obesity, inflammation (which indirectly could help with joint issues, I suppose), and anti-oxidant.
I have done a bit of research on cissus as well and I’ve never found any proof that it does anything other than what KK posted. Claims of tissue and join repair have only been studied in India with questionable methods. Many people on this forum claim that cissus has cured them of nagging injuries but science hasn't proven it yet.
