sounds like a horrible idea for anyone who doesn't want to harm their body and drastically set back their training

Good Luck on this.

Not sure why you would do it. To honor your endeavor, I will eat the fodd that you would have eaten for the 5 days.

if you choose to fast you will realise by the end of the very first day that "hunger" is all mental, its all in your head.
you have plenty of undigested food stored in your stomach that will be broken down during the fast and used as energy.

whilst the colon is in a constant state of use it will never fully repair.
only by completely emptying the contents of your stomach and giving it a good rest will it truly start to heal fully.
theres a lot i dont understand about this process, BINGOi dont claim to be any expert but i have done this once before about 2 yrs ago and the results were good. hence why i am so keen to do it again

unlike last time (the nucleus for my original fast was food poisoning) this time i will be doing some training, a little zoo-zitsui just once a day, i think tomorow morning, thursday morning, oh and i have a grappling competition on the saturday- the day i break my fast.
that should be awesome, lol.
Now you're talkin crazy. If you're gonna fast, do it as a test of will. Leave the medical aspect to the pros.

fasting has many health benefits, Ive done quite a bit for mostly spiritual reasons, and some quite lengthy fast that people wouldnt really believe if i said for how long

but usually the 1st 3 days are the worst, particularly the 2nd and 3rd day, as long as u keep yourself well hydrated youd be surprised how quickly u can adapt to zero cal intake

just power through the first few days and youll be ok

fasting + name of Jesus = some serious power

I'm pretty skeptical about fasting for more than two or three days. Your colon will be empty by then, you'll get the energetic clear-thinking feeling, but you won't be so depleted of nutrients as you will after five days of water-only.

BTW, your stomach is empty after less than one day, if your upper GI tract is working right.

Anyway, let us know how you feel. When you can type again...
