THIS is unhealthy....not cottage cheese with a little fructose.

Actually I recommended cottage cheese...but when someone replied saying they didn't like it I suggested the cottage doubles because they're pretty good.

No...I don't want to drag it on, but I just don't like being criticized for every god damn thing on this forum over petty things such as this. Maybe next time I'll offer him an ice cream sandwich.

And if you're building muscle....which this thread seems to focus on, then the carbs will actually benefit.

Whether or not you like being criticized is irrelevant. If you give bad advice, someone will call you out on it, and that is a good thing. It is a mark of the quality of this forum. If your advice is criticized, either defend it intelligently* or admit that you were wrong and learn something.

*"Because they're pretty good" is not an adequate defense of the nutritional worth of a food.

Guys. Stop ruining a great thread with bickering.

Let's get back on topic.

Who here has tried quinoa? I'm thinking about adding it to my diet since i really miss eating rice with my meals and hope this can be a good substitute.

Any thoughts or experiences?

It's great. It's way better than rice (check out the nutritional profile). I only eat it about once a month as a cheat meal (currently dieting for fat loss). It's one of the only grains I'll eat. I haven't touched brown rice for ages, and probably never will again.

Quinoa is good stuff, but I think it is a lot like acai in that it is extremely over-hyped.

Agreed if you're going to go that far to eat grains, might as well just skip em.
