Walking is fine IF you do not feel you have a muscle tear. If we're talking normal soreness, I would take a walk around the block -- around 10 minutes or so -- just to loosen up.
I would also get back in as soon as you feel physically able to. My first day of Muay Thai left me in the same shape. I went back the next week, and by that time, I was able to go 2 classes per week with little difficulty. Just be careful that you don't injure yourself. You can expect to be sore after doing all of that if you are not used to it. You will get used to it, and your body will adapt.
