Where to start?

What's a good conditioning circuit or a barbell complex to start? I've been injured for the past month from BJJ and I'm getting back into it in about 14 days. I tried that December challenge but couldn't even get past the third circuit. I'm looking to add this type of conditioning permanently into my own regime to up my BJJ endurance. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The Couture circuit is awesome if you work hard with it. Every other day as heavy as you can and you will see a difference in no time.

Thanks for the advice guys. Its funny, up until the summer, i was lifting heavy for about 2-3 years with routines from the 5x5 to WS4SB, etc etc.. and on paper, the December challenge didn't look to bad on paper.. I realize that I haven't done anything physical in a month but I thought I would have finished atleast. Props to all the people who can ahah.

If you make time goals for that challenge you will be set in a hurry.

Just going to pimp it and get it out of the way: Ross Enamait's stuff. The new "Full Throtlle Conditioning" DVD is a good starting point.

I'd go with the Randy Couture one, it should be somewhere on the FAQ's or towards the top of the Conditioning forum, there's a video on there.

I would as Finnegan said look into Ross stuff. Specially if you gonna add it permanently in your training. I do not have the DVD but the Infinite Intensity book is awesome and I have only heard great stuff about the DVD.

I like the Berardi one a little better than the Couture one because Berardi has the guys using dumbbells instead of barbells.

I use 25 lb dbs and add a set of shrugs at the end. This is the main part of my power / power endurance cycle (along with bodyweight Tabata workouts)
