When running, is there a dominant leg?

I've noticed now that I can run serious mileage It seems like my right leg digs and oushes off more than my left leg does. I went to do a few sets of sprints after a 5 mile run today and I really noticed it. I started digging harder with my left leg to try and even it out with my right. It seems very wierd.

Now i'm pushing my left leg hard and lunging forward with my right leg, when my right leg pivots I push off hard and lunge my left leg forward. I can really distinguish my lower body from my upper body when I run like this. My torso twists back and fourth. Is this a sign of getting more proficient in running? Anyone experience this?
