Whats the cruellest training regime..

Whats the cruellest training regime anyone has seen or been subjected to ?

I want to find what the harshest kind of training people have known about or have willingly let themselves take part in. Funny ones would be appreciated also.

Dont flame me if this has been done before.

I guess that would be training with the chute boxe pro's. Their training is just like a MMA event. No holds barred.

I used to train 5-6 hours a day 6 days a week in Thailand....

Get up @ 6.00 run between 3-12km at altitude
Stretch
200 knees/Kicks etc
6-8 Rounds on Bag
6-8 Shadow
3-4 Pads in ring
Stretch
Free Weights
Breakfast
Rest and relax or go swimming if you are a psycho like some guys

Repeat @ 3.30

plus casual grappling drills with those who train Wrestling or BJJ
body weight control
plyametrics
Sleep

Sunday play soccer

Pretty tough

The Lions Den initiation is supposed to be fairly brutal.

There is a thread all about it somewhere around here. You should be able to find it.

Anything concoted by Billy Rush I would imagine would be pretty harsh... Not the worse, but certainly hard as hell... or that may be peanuts compared to what posters here are describing about the training in Thailand... ouch!

Good thread!

I would also say thailand, all that running in the heat just took my energy and the pad hitting was so fast pased. also they made us do 40 minutes of stright neck tie and kneeing with no rest. kinda insain. The most insain one day I had is when I did 2 hours BJJ 2 hours boxing 2 hours wrestling and then some sparring and body wieght trainign in a group.
the whole day was about 7 hours.

ive read that the miletich camp is pretty brutal.

i read about the lions den iniation thing in kens book, it said it was like 200 squats, 50 pushups, then running some stadiums and i think some burpees to finish. kens thing seems to be making his fighter do tons of squats, but i think its more of a mental toughness thing than anything

The lionsdens tryout from the top of my head (not precise in other words..)

500hindusquats - 500 crunches - 250 pushups

10 min fullcontact sparing with Ken Shamrock

500 hindusquats - 500 crunches - 250 pushups

10 min fullcontact sparing with Ken Shamrock

Clean the dojo

All done nonstop without any real break. If you survived you was in.
