i just started running this week and i was thinking of working my way up to running everymorning when i got up.i had a personal trainer at my gym tell me that running everyday can be dangerous.
she said that you can injure your ACL. is there any thruth to this? can running everyday cause damage and should i limit the amount of days i run? if so how much is to much?
I don't think that is correct at all unless you have horrible form or something. I know 2 people that have run at least 5 miles a day for the last 10 years and are in great health and never had an issue. They each have missed literally 5 days a year at most.

Anyone who told you that running every day can injure your ACL doesn't know what they are talking about and should be kept a minimum of 100 feet from exercise equipment and people interested in health and fitness at all times.
You can cause overuse injuries, overtraining, etc. if you run everyday without an appropriate training plan. The most I would recommend running is 5 days a week, and that is for someone who is seriously training for a running event, because you need days to rest.
thanks guys. i was only planning of running 2 or 3 days a week right now. i have my first fight coming up in january and was thinking of running more often by then. i want my cardio to be the best it can for the fight.
I'd say running every day could be dangerous if you were running HARD every day. If you mixed long slow aerobic distance runs with fartlek training and extended effort sessions, then threw in some recovery runs from time to time, you could probably run every day. Recovery sessions are important though, as I've found out lately!
running LSD everyday can be bad for you, but over years....
