Weighlifting and grappling
Hey,
I ve been grappling for about a year and half now (BJJ) and have never lifted weights as part of my conditioning. I usually run long distance, sprint sometimes and do mainly pushups and pullups. Yesterday though, a teammate suggested to do a little bench pressing before class. I didnt feel anything different but was wondering if there are any long term negative or positive aspects to this. How about weight lifting on non class days? Thanks for any input.
