TUF Conditioning

I was watching TUF season 1 and I noticed that they went through a treadmill training where you run

5 min 5mph
5 min 6mph
5 min 7mph
5 min 8mph
5 min 9mph
5 min 10mph

You start at 5mph and go up every 5 minutes

So that is 30 minutes of running in total.

Has anyone been able to accomplish this?

I went just finished 8 mph and just got to 9 at most. I was only 10 min away, but then 9 abd 10 mph seems like forever at that point.

its all in what you train for, me personally that isnt hard. you have to remember certain fighters are big runners. fedor runs 10k every day, nick diaz runs triathlons, etc

The speeds aren't actually that bad. I can run at approx 6 minute mile pace which is the same as the 10 miles per hour pace. I think the challenge is that the pace increases throughout the 30 minutes. I'd find it easier just to do 30 mins non stop at 10 miles per hour.

It was more a test of heart.

Chris Leben was the only one who finished it.
