Very Very Basic Help Required

I am looking for advice on creating a very basic workout plan just to begin with. Nothing fancy whatsoever and just something to get me in the workout mood and to kick start my training.

Some basic info about me

Age 17
Height - 5ft 7.5 roughly equal to 171 cm
Weight - 10 and a half stone roughly equal to 147 pounds. From the outside I look pretty skinny but have devoloped a bit of a belly and want to remove the gut and tone up

I'm looking for it to revolve around the following and gradually incread and be a good variety each day.

Jogging
Running
Swimming
Sit Up's
Skipping

I know it may sound so simple and daft but this is what I need to begin with and perhaps add in some other basic excerises that are easy to do although no press ups as I have a shoulder problem which there for does not allow me to do them. Also should I figure weights in my routine (Can only do dumb bells due to my shoulder) as the main aim is to lose some weight around stomagh area and tone up. Plus generally be fitter.

Cheers

Mate, I can't claim to know a lot about this, but from my knowledge I would say keep with the CV and being 17 be careful not to get into serious weight lifting/putting on major muscle mass as at your age you are still growing and their can be problems if you start going too crazy.

And another thing everyone starts at some point and have no stamina, no muscle, maybe even no ability!

The fact you want to get in shape at 17 when most lads would be out smoking ***s and knocking back buckfast says a lot!

Weight lifting is safe and it doesnt stunt your growth, have a read of the strength and power forum stickies. Also, whats your diet like?

definitely cant overstate the importance of at least minimal weight lifting... yeah cardio will help you lose weight but if you dont have an ounce of muscle on you your body isnt going to readily give up that fat so it will make your struggle that much more difficult. at your age and with your goals you could mix in a handful of lifts and see some pretty good progress. some squats, bench press, bench rows, etc all can be done (or modified to be done) with dumbbells. good luck

Squats, bench, rows, run, eat big and clean maybe do some whey, but eating is more important than supps...read the stickes in the strength, conditioning and diet forums.

join a muay thai/bjj/wrestling gym. at your age you don't need to be muscling up. in my experience muay thai was great for me when i was younger, you get very fit, pretty ripped and learn how to defend yourself all at once.
