Revolutionary idea: 10mph for 10 mins!

You can't ask vague questions like that and expect an intelligent response, mate. What exactly are you training for? Basically, running short distances fast will give you better anaerobic capacity and speed; running for longer distances at a slower pace will build your aerobic capacity and general endurance. Both are useful.

If you can only run for 10 minutes at a 5mph pace you're never going to complete 5 minutes at a 10mph pace so this question is pointless.

Do what you can. Not what's hypothetical.

Depends on what the goal is.. Want to develop long term endurance?? Want to develop explosive speed? Or do what I do.. Switch it up...

It obviously depends on your goals but generally you should do high intensity intervals. Go 10mph for 5 mins. walk 2mins repeat X4.
Also, make sure you have some incline on your treadmill, you need it to properly mimic the road.

You mean running at a slower pace for a longer distance, correct?
