Icon2 Training of Samuel Peter:

Here's footage of the Nigerian Nightmare doing some rope skipping, stretching, and shadowboxing down in Florida. This was in preparation for his WBC Mandatory #1 Contender re-match with James Toney. Enjoy:

http://www.dailymotion.com/visited/s...-peter-workout

Sam came into that fight at nearly a career low weight for a heavyweight, and proceeded to out-box, out-move, and out-jab Toney who was considered the slickest of the Heavyweights at the time (though I'm not certain about that myself). Sam implimented a full running regimen, went to Camp in Florida away from Vegas, and it paid off. He was on his toes most of the fight, and popping quadruple jabs in the 12th round.

I'm also honored to say I got to help assist him in picking out his supplements for this Camp as well, as he stopped into our store with another Pro Boxer about two weeks or so before leaving Vegas.

He got him some quick, quick feet.

I am a little curious about that dynamic stretching he did after the ropeskip. Like, why bother? He held each position for less than five seconds and his pelvis wasn't really into it either.

Who knows. You never catch yourself doing goofy half-ass movements just to stay moving in the middle of a workout?

But yeah, his quickness improved impressively for his last bout. I wasn't aware he could comprehend footwork or snapping jabs. Who knew? He's young, he's got talent, and he's also got balls. The WBC are trying to give Vitali Klitschko a Title shot because he's coming out of retirement but Sam's the mandatory #1 Contender. They offered him like 2.5 million back-off money plus other money. He told them to go fuck themselves, that it's not about the money. That's a rare thing in Professional Fighting nowadays.

A very rare thing. Sam looked great in his last fight and looked great in that training video. I'm looking forward to his next fight and how his career is going to progress from here.

That is a very quick big man, any idea when he will get his title shot? Got to give the man a ton of respect for saying no to $2.5 m, damn.

On another note this confirms i need to get skipping.

Heh heh, that you do Standard.

Right now they're deadlocked. The WBC is playing pussy about it and sort of refusing to give either side the what-for. So Klitschko's side is saying Sam better take the HIGHER amount of money they're offering OR ELSE, and he's telling them to eat a pile of cocks basically.

I think he should have taken the cash. He was gaurunteed the winner of the vitali bout if he backed off, they got some funky rules and he might not get the fight anyways. Shoulda took the cash.

I like Sam Peter more and more as he is fighting. He can be a little dirty, but I"m looking foward to him warring it up with some klitschkos.

Nah man. They've already fucked him over once, why shuld he let them do it again? They MADE him re-match Toney just because some people disagreed with the decision. Plus, Vitali is just going to quit again as soon as he beats Maskaev, so what then? Sam has to fight for a vacated belt because Vitali quits? Fuck that. He's the "MANDATORY" #1, and the WBC should adhere to their own doctrine. So they put their foot in their mouths to Vitali, who cares? That's THEIR fault and Sam shouldn't have to pay for it.

Besides, with a Title, Sam stands to make ten times that amount.

That has to be totally motivating to interact with these guys on a semi-regular basis, and to know your input affects their training. Very cool.
