Icon10 Training for a 5km run on sunday

Hey guys...I'm doing a 5km run on sunday on a circuit that's mostly up and down stuff...but I didn't train for it or anything...Can you give me fast tips to improve my cardio

I used to run 10km on a daily basis when I was an active amateur boxer last year...but it's been 2 weeks since I last had a workout

My advice is it's too late to improve your cardio with less than a week to go. Just take the run at a pace that you can finish with and give yourself more time next time. I wish there were miracles to be had in 1 week but there isn't any.

Oh!?

I'll be starting training for it later

I'll be doing this twice or thrice a day
3x5 minute rounds of jump rope
5x15 pushups
5x15 squats
5x10 pullups

just to be healthy...I'm 5'4 and I weigh 130 lbs

If you haven't trained in a while perhaps being able to negate the lactic acid wuld be of use to you?

I ran a 5k awhile ago on pretty short notice too, I just did it with some friends for the hell of it. Are you trying to place first or anything? If not, honestly I would just run a mile or something everyday until your 5k

It's like a fund raising marathon...No i won't win first place all other runners are like soldiers and track and field players

I just started training a while ago ran 3 km on a treadmill with max incline and on 8 speed within 25 minutes

Absolutley.

The worst thing you can do is train like crazy this week and tire your body out.
