train, run with mouthpiece?

I read an article about training with your mouth piece. how many people actually do that? I don't see pro fighters train with one...

I only train with a mouth piece if we are sparring in kickboxing. Most of the time we just slap or light hits so you know you got hit... Full speed too. I need to get used to breathing with a mouth guard though.

ya ive seen my teammates do this, i would but i honestly dont notice a difference in my breathing now when i have one in and when i have one out. I use too, but i guess i just naturally got use to it. I tried workin out (running, cardio) with one in and it made no difference in my breathing.

Do it. Just like any other sport - You play just like u practice.
This will also drive wearing a mouthpeice into a habit so you don't get tired and start
opening your mouth to breth. Always practice the way you want to play.

I wear a mouth piece when running, even when doing anaerbic intervals. IMO, it helps advance the cardio and of course get me used to wearing it.

.....and Colby, far as the mouth piece making no difference in your breathing... you must have some great cardio. Anaerobically, it definitely makes a difference to me.

Some people need to get used to the restriction of breath that occurs with a mouthpiece.
If thats you, train with it until it just aint no thang.
If not, do wahtever.

agreed with above, I do everything with a mouthpeice in. Heavy bag, jumping rope, all, and I am used to breathing with it in.

I did when I was active and still do when bagtraining (mostly out of habit/posing *lol*).
To be serious, you should definitely train as you fight, so mouthpiece and cup is the way to go (maybe skip the cup when running)
