Finn says a sandbag improved his conditioning in grappling untold amounts. I'd go with that, for as great as sleds are (and sled pushing and dragging is AWESOME) I think sandbags are more versatile and specific to what you're looking for.
Sandbag get-ups are a favorite "goofy shit" exercise of mine, and for extra volume on my leg days nothing hits the posterior chain like carrying a sandbag up stairs. Luckily I have access to a HUGE rocket test stand, so I can go up a flight, drop the bag, shoulder it on the opposite side, and repeat until everything from my calves to my shoulders hurts and my heart feels like it's gonna explode.
