Tabata Thrusters

Anyone do these? I tried this exercise using the tabata method and it burnt the hell out of me. I noticed my metabolism increased dramatically for that day. Is this a sissy exercise to do? I need an alternative to sprints since my foot/ankle is messed up due to road running :/ Is this an exercise you shouldn't be doing? For those who don't know what thrusters are; you hold two dumbells right above your shoulders and perform a squat, once standing you do a over head press.

Yea, but would doing thrusters make it sissy? Would it be a waste of a workout? Seems like might fine conditioning to me

Its part of a great workout. Stick with it and maybe add in a few other tabata interval exercises as well, maybe some body weight stuff, push-ups, pull ups, burpees (if you have a lot of self loathing built up inside), etc.

Thrusters are a great way to add intensity to tabata squats. Of course they're good for you.

Yep, thrusters, or the clean/squat/push-press, tabata style are excellent.
